ABOUT THE OUTING
Thank you to all the past, present and future supporters of the Sweet Sassy Golf Outing. With your help, we have been and will continue to be able to fulfill our mission:
To enhance the lives of youth in our community through a faith centered approach to addressing emotional and psychological needs.
Since 2016, the Sweet Sassy Golf Classic has raised over $200,000! $63,000 of which has been proudly contributed to The Scott “Bibs” Bibler Memorial Scholarship Fund. Along with donations from the community, the Scott "Bibs" Bibler Memorial Scholarship Fund now totals over $100,000. This fund provides two, $2,000 scholarships, in memory of Scott for students in the Kosciusko County Community whose passions are pursuing a career in education. These scholarships will remain available indefinitely through the Kosciusko County Community Foundation. To date, we have given nine scholarships to local seniors going into Education!
In 2018, the Sweet Sassy Committee was challenged to figure out additional ways that proceeds can help support our local community in Scott’s memory. We heard many stories of teachers paying for learning tools, supplies, student lunches, etc., out of their own pockets. We also heard stories of students not having school supplies, lunch money or money to take the SAT's. It was through these discussions and the fact that Scott was known to quickly reach into his billfold and help a student in need, that we established the Bib's Billfold. Since 2018 Sweet Sassy Golf Classic, we have given over $150,000 directly to the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation.
Student Funds
This fund is set up at each school within the Tippecanoe Valley School System. The money is available to meet any type of student need. The Principals and School Counselors are the monitors of this fund.
Teacher Grants
This fund is in the form of a grant. All teachers, coaches and staff within the Tippecanoe Valley School System have access to grant applications from Bib’s Billfold. These applications will be reviewed by the Sweet Sassy Committee members each year and be voted on for fund distribution.
